Sorghum grows tallest among all the food crops,

Lanhuahua is prettiest among all the girls throughout the country

正月里那个说媒,二月里定,
In the first lunar month a matchmaker came to propose marriage,
In February an engagement was decided

三月里交大钱,四月里迎.
In March a bridal money was given
In April the bride was carried over the threshold .

三班子那个吹来,两班子打,
Someone beating drums while others blowing trumpets,
The bride’s escorted in bustling procession to the groom’s home.

撇下我的情哥哥,抬进了周家.
I was carried into Zhou’s, leaving my sweetie brother alone.

蓝花花那个下轿来,东张西又照,
Getting off the bridal sedan chair,
Lanhuahua looked around

找见周家的猴老子,好象一座坟.
